Exhibition organized jointly by the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV) and the Southampton Institute of Higher Education, which, as explained in the accompanying texts by the contributing authors, presents an opportunity to explore the cultural similarities and differences between artists from each context, while reflecting on the works and emotions inspired by the sea, from the Mediterranean to the Atlantic.

Enric Alfons exhibited his oil-on-canvas painting Le salon, 1992, from his series Espills d’un jardí, which came about following his most recent travels through Mauritania, Turkish Kurdistan and Arab neighbourhoods in Paris and London.
